Pharmacy chain Fontana saw improved results for its first quarter ended September, with profit and revenue up. Net profit grew by 43 per cent, ending the quarter at $87.6 million, compared to $61 million last year. Fontana‘s revenues also increased, coming in at $1.64 billion. This represents a 26 per cent increase over the $1.3 billion earned last year. Fontana says it continues to see recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, which has also affected the company’s spending on various line items, including staff costs. The company also says it benefited from improved international freight rates.
